Markets await clarification of details to the U.S. Mexican deal

"They are truly The Enemy of the People!" But calling Trump a liar would open up a whole new can of worms.

The Remain in Mexico program "is like a low calorie version of a safe third country agreement", says Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates for lower immigration rates and has previously expressed support for a safe third country policy between the us and Mexico.

Led by Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, negotiators in Washington resisted Trump's core demand that Mexico be declared a safe third country, a classification that would oblige Central Americans crossing through Mexico to seek safe haven there, not the United States.

Trump doesn't seem to understand that American goods are not nationalized commodities for him to buy and sell around the world.

Trump and Chinese president Xi Jinping are scheduled to meet at the G-20 Summit this month following a year of tit-for-tat tariff threats.

"When will the Failing New York Times admit that their front page story on the the new Mexico deal at the Border is a FRAUD", Trump asked, "and nothing more than a badly reported "hit job" on me, something that has been going on since the first day I announced for the presidency!

But Trump's misleading tweets are more than just a weird aside to the tariff craziness of the past two weeks.

Honestly, this is a situation that would have faded into the background nearly immediately if Trump had blown it off.

The Republican billionaire, whose Twitter account is followed by almost 61 million people, regularly attacks the high-tech giants as politically biased or, as he put it in a recent tweet, "sooo on the side of the Radical Left Democrats". Trump did the right thing, even if "the right thing" in this instance was simply backing down from doing the wrong thing.

The new model will also support 8K gaming , framerates of up to 120fps, variable refresh rate support and ray-tracing. Codenamed "Project Scarlett" , the console will be 4x more powerful than the Xbox One X , Microsoft claimed.

Mnuchin: Trump could ease restrictions on Huawei if trade talks advance
He noted that the meeting would have two parts - one focused on general macroeconomic issues, such as currencies, and a separate discussion about trade.

Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said in Washington his team had also resisted US requests to send deported Guatemalans to Mexico. While his racist base cheers this impulse, what he's largely discovered is that that isn't as easy as he imagined.

According to the Bloomberg report, the White House declined to comment or offer proof to back up Trump's tweet.

Ebrard also highlighted USA support in the agreement for a Mexican proposal to jointly address underlying causes of migration from Central America.

Trump wasn't simply wrong to call immigrants coming over the border "criminals".

US border officers apprehended more than 132,000 people crossing from Mexico in May, the highest monthly level since 2006.

Predictably unwilling to admit he was wrong, Trump has been desperately trying to find a way to blame Mexico anyway.

The agreement would require migrants to submit asylum claims in Mexico rather than with US authorities. His aides said yes, but admitted that they were also realistic that the surge of immigration might continue. Trump wrote on Twitter. This is flatly false.

Though Senate Republicans have been reluctant to go beyond expressing opposition to many of Mr. Trump's initiatives, lawmakers from farm states, especially Iowa's two Republican senators, remain vocal in their protests that Trump trade initiatives hurt agricultural exports, particularly soybeans. They reveal the president's biggest blind spot when it comes to understanding how trade works.
