Nintendo, on the other hand, is here and now and going to give Nintendo Switch owners stuff to be super excited about for the rest of 2019 after an admittedly subdued first half of the year. Microsoft is focused on the future as well, but they are using this year's show to give you a reason to look forward to the future.

Even more gameplay footage is expected to be revealed during Microsoft's E3 conference, so tune in at 9pm on June 9.

As E3 closes in on us, the developers and publishers of the gaming world are starting to reveal what their shows are going to look like this year and according to an agenda that was shared by Xbox Brasil, Microsoft is going to have one of the longest ever E3 shows. News on Halo Infinite has been coming in a drip feed, and we're honestly not expecting to see the game launch until at least 2020. But Ubisoft will show something about Watch Dogs Legion, and maybe some insights about Beyond Good and Evil. Everything gets underway at 9:15 AM PT / 12:15 PM ET / 5:15 PM BST (2:15 AM AET on June 9).

Another foundational Xbox title, fantasy adventure Fable, is also expected to make a comeback, the Forza Horizon studio tasked with its development. And given the last two years, it isn't hard to imagine 2019's show following suit. Phil Spencer has, however, teased that 14 first-party games will be on display during the event, including those from some of the studios that Microsoft acquired previous year. As it has in the past, Nintendo will be airing a pre-recorded Nintendo Direct to highlight some of its bigger games, like "Metroid Prime 4".
