'It Won't Happen': Netanyahu Says Palestinian State Will Not Be Created

President Donald Trump is facing harsh criticism from American Jewish groups and individuals after he told a Republican Jewish group that Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu was "your prime minister". The answer is yes. "And we will impose sovereignty over the settlements in Judea and Samaria [West Bank]".

Bahrain endorsed the remarks which at the time were said to be aimed at moving the Israeli-Palestinian "narrative from intractability to a new focus of pragmatism".

The Israeli prime minister was asked if he was familiar with the details of the United States plan, known as the "deal of the century", replying he knew "what should be in it". "I will not uproot anyone, and I will not transfer sovereignty to the Palestinians".

"I said there shouldn't be the removal of even one settlement" from the occupied West Bank, Netanyahu told Israel's Channel 13 television in an interview broadcast yesterday.

He touted his decision to withdraw from the "disastrous" Iran nuclear deal, telling the crowd, "They wanted to kill Israel".

Settlements built on land occupied by Israel in the 1967 Six-Day War are deemed illegal by the global community and their ongoing construction is seen as a major barrier to peace. "We are on the way and we are discussing it", Netanyahu said. The West Bank is home to some 2.9 million Palestinians, the Palestinian Statistics Bureau says.

Not that many years ago, a two-state solution seemed nearly unstoppable and inevitable.

Kit Harington ( Jon Snow ) reportedly told wife Rose Leslie (Ygritte), who wouldn't speak to him for a few days afterward. Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) spoiled the ending for fiance Joe Jonas , who was "so mad", because he loves the show.

Applying sovereignty to Israeli settlements on West Bank land that the Palestinians demand for a future state, presumably along with the roads and infrastructure tethering those places to the rest of Israel, would leave the Palestinians at best with an archipelago of disconnected territory.

"Such a statement by Netanyahu is not surprising", Erekat wrote on Twitter.

"Israel will continue to brazenly violate global law for as long as the worldwide community will continue to reward Israel with impunity, particularly with the Trump administration's support", he tweeted. "I want to do it if possible with American support". In his prime time interview on Saturday, Netanyahu portrayed those moves of support from the Trump administration as his own achievements, the AP reports.

Malki accused the USA of encouraging Netanyahu by recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital and, more recently, recognizing Israel's 1981 annexation of the Golan Heights. The long-serving Prime Minister Netanyahu is the favorite to win Israel's general election on April 9, but he faces serious corruption charges and a stiff challenge from a former military chief Gantz who has positioned himself as the country's savior.

In Israel's system of proportional representation, the party with the most support still needs other parties to gain a majority in parliament and to form a government.

Much of Trump's speech on Saturday was standard campaign-rally fare, with the president mocking asylum seekers, threatening to close the US border with Mexico, attacking the Green New Deal plan to combat climate change and boasting about his relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
