Antonio Brown trade to Buffalo Bills was 'not even close' to happening

Last night, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Steelers were "closing in" on a deal that would've sent AB to Buffalo.

Brown quickly called the report "fake news" via a comment on Instagram. He punctuated his report by saying "there it is", as if it was a done deal and happening. "The #Steelers now must find another suitor", Rapoport wrote on Twitter.

Brown wanting a trade out of Pittsburgh is one thing, but it appears that he also has a shortlist of destinations. The Bills didn't know if Brown was going to actually play for them.

This could invite speculation that the Patriots, who were previously reported as off limits in trade talks, may suddenly give it a shot. And that means Brown's trade value just took yet another hit.

LeBron passes Jordan for fourth on all-time National Basketball Association points list
LeBron adds that a conversation with the Lakers' coaching staff and upper management about shutting it down may "happen soon". James and Jordan are widely considered the two best players in National Basketball Association history.

According to a report from ESPN's Dianna Russini, the Titans are out of the race for Brown. Quarterback Josh Allen had an up-and-down season in 2018 and the future looks bright, but there are still plenty of question marks. It is likely Brown will want a restructured contract from any team that acquires him.

There are still some contradicting pieces of information here - Rapoport saying it was nearly done early this morning, but Schefter's source saying it was dead on Wednesday - but it does seem regardless like Antonio Brown put the kibosh on going to Buffalo.

Last season, Brown caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and a league-high 15 receiving touchdowns. Brown's $22.165 million cap hit is now the largest for any wide receiver in the NFL.
