Watch Cardi B Perform "Money" At The 2019 Grammy Awards

Watch Cardi B Perform

The Bronx-born rapper made history at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday night by picking up the trophy for Best Rap Album, becoming the first solo female rapper to do so in the category's 20-plus year history.

"Thank you, Tom Petty, for the flowers", Cardi exclaimed on her Instagram Story.

Prior to Cardi B's win, the only other woman to win got her award in 1997, when the hip-hop group Fugees, which included Lauryn Hill, won Best Rap Album for The Score.

But, the debate continues with no signs of ending.

"Invasion of Privacy" beat out albums by the late Mac Miller, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T and Travis Scott.
