"Once Upon A Time in Hollywood", which very well might be the director's penultimate feature, is set against the backdrop of the 1969 murder of Tate ― who was more than eight months pregnant ― and four others in her Beverly Hills home by members of the Charles Manson Family.

Margot Robbie has given a first look at her transformation into Sharon Tate for Quentin Tarantino's new period film "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood".

The snap sees Robbie leaning against a wall wearing a black turtleneck, white mini skirt and white go-go boots.

And now that filming has begun, Robbie took to Instagram to share our first peek at her doomed actress dressed in '60s garb.

Tarantino's movie, which features Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick, an actor, and Brad Pitt as his stunt double, Cliff, was originally slated to come out on August 9, 2019.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt will portray best friends - one is a former TV star, the other is his longtime stunt double.

Tate's sister, Debra Tate, initially spoke out against the forthcoming film but recently tweeted that she gave the famous director her blessing after reading the script. However, Variety reported in mid-July the release date has been changed to July 26, 2019.
